The Ivy Place Grand Opening Party

Matt and I were so thrilled to recently discover a new venue right over the border in South Carolina called The Ivy Place. We had a promotional shoot there a few weeks ago that you can see here if you missed it! Since then, we’ve had the opportunity to shoot a completely gorgeous,to-die-for inspiration shoot that I cannot wait to share. But until then…

We’re having a party! :) We, along with some other fabulous Charlotte vendors, are helping organize a grand opening party on Sunday, July 29th to celebrate the official kick-off for this amazing venue.

There are no less than 33 acres of gorgeousness to play with. If you’re planning a wedding or a photo shoot and looking for a place that oozes Southern charm it’s a must-see! There really is nothing else like it in the Charlotte area.

As you enter The Ivy Place, you’ll see the historic home, built in 1850, perched on a hill. With it’s sprawling front lawn and oversized rain porch, the house is really just the beginning of all the goodness you’ll find. Take a stroll around the property and you’ll spot a beautifully manicured garden nestled on one side of the home that leads to a charming brick-paved patio along the back. With three different barns spread out across the property, wildflower patches scattered throughout and some old  billowing oak trees thrown in the mix, the possibilities are truly endless. Beyond that, Terry and Genie Graham, who own the home and land, are super sweet and awesome to work with.

For the upcoming event, we’re planning on having some fabulous food provided by Melanie Rowe Catering, delicious cake by one of my favorite bakers in town- The Wow Factor Cakes,  and music from Split Second Sound! Also, if you’re a photographer or planner, The Ivy Place is giving away one free photo session voucher to each attendee that will waive their regular session fee for any type of shoot- engagement, bridal, or lifestyle.
